Friday Flowers in Gilroy officially opened its brand new store after months of renovation at 7680 Monterey Rd. Suite 106 in historic downtown Gilroy on July 30th 2021.
The ladies at Friday Flowers are seeking to become the premiere Gilroy flowers source for exquisite bouquets, one-of-a-kind floral arrangements, and upscale in-shop events.
Rachelle Castaneda and her mother Carlee Sherman, the owners of Friday Flowers in Gilroy, are proud of their accomplishments that have led to them opening their own brick and mortal retail store.
They have been continually blown away by the support from their new and returning customers coming from Gilroy, Morgan Hill, Hollister, San Jose, and unicorporated south county to pick up their custom flower arrangements.
Head floral designer, Rachelle, has recieved kind and encouraging feedback from her amazing customers on Google and Facebook and she often uses Instagram as a way to engage and learn more about what her customers are looking for.

The Story Behind Friday Flowers
Friday Flowers was born on a Friday in 2020 during Covid-19. Rachelle Castaneda, the owner and designer, started a floral delivery service on a Friday for friends and family to bring beauty and excitement to people stuck at home during a pandemic: flowers delivered right to your doorstep.
Eventually Fridays were sold out and the need to add more days to the route became a must. The search for a space began and Friday Flowers in downtown Gilroy became a reality. After one year at the space it was time to invite customers and the community out to celebrate and see the vision.
Friday Flowers Is More Than Just Bouquets and Arrangements
While Friday Flowers in Gilroy is already well known for specializing in offering seasonal bay area flowers for their high quality daily bouquets and arrangements, they have also expanded into providing florals for funerals, weddings, and special events.
Their experience and creative approach in creating unique and successful events for their customers signaled to Rachelle and her mother that their new store space should double as both a workspace and a event space.
The current interior has been designed with a warehouse blank canvas feel inside for their customers. This setup allows them to customize florals and decor for any style of party. When planning the grand-opening they wanted everyone to tangibly see this raw design.
They invited some of their favorite vendors to come in and even set up mini mock ups with the Friday Flower flair to compliment each setup.
